These snares come "Loaded" meaning the loop falls shut with minimal drag a "spring like action". We use 9ga. snare swivels and support collars for 11ga. or smaller wire for supporting the snare if needed. These snares are great for Coyote,Beaver,Coon,Fox, Bobcat etc..
